Launching a global call to action for AI literacy

OUR

Voices

in AI

Today is National AI Literacy Day and we’re launching the #OurVoicesinAI campaign as a global call to action to bring AI & ethics literacy to classrooms everywhere.

Our message is clear: all young people deserve access to AI literacy and sociotechnical education to build a generation of critical-thinkers, informed citizens, and future innovators.

To that end, we’re providing free books, materials, and accessible curricula to schools, community centers, museums, and afterschool programs across the globe — educators, administrators, and parents can sign up below.

Who Are We? We’re Innovation For Everyone, a 501(c)(3) youth-led movement mobilizing for AI & ethics literacy, reaching over 70,000 students across 35 countries over the past four years.

Words of wisdom

We’re grateful to have the support of AI pioneer, Dr. Joy Buolamwini — MIT Media Lab Researcher, Bestselling Author of Unmasking AI (Penguin Random House, 2024), and Founder of the Algorithmic Justice League.

In support of the campaign, hear her incredible story and a spoken-word poem about the societal impacts of AI:

Educators

We’re providing free copies of A Kids Book About AI (Penguin Random House, 2025), materials, and accessible curricula.

  • Educators, school administrators, informal educators, and parents (from any country) — are eligible to receive these materials.

  • Yes! We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and our mission is to continue supporting global AI literacy — so we provide all our materials to students free of cost.

  • Schools and those with direct student engagement receive free copies of A Kids Book About AI. Everyone who signs up receives digital downloads of grade-level AI discussion questions, and joins the IFE community to preview and pilot full-length curricula coming soon.

Youth

Young people interested in joining the movement can sign up to join the Task Force, the volunteer arm of Innovation For Everyone.

  • Students aged 13+ are eligible to join — with most of our volunteers being high school, undergrad students, and grad students.

  • Task Force members join IFE’s Slack channels, organize for AI ethics literacy within their communities, and amplify the movement as student leaders.

  • Task Force members are volunteers, so time commitments are flexible and can vary. We estimate ~1-3 hours per month.
